Some are so redundant on everyone's lists, for good reason, so I'll just omit those. And a couple of these, I had to be reminded of.

Cheap Trick - "Live at Budokan"
Pretenders - "Pretenders"
The Cars - "The Cars"
Guns N' Roses - "Appetite for Destruction"
KD Lang - "Ingenue"
Paul McCartney - "Ram"

Great thread, by the way.

I've thought and thought, and I can't name one. There's always a filler.

Maybe Tea for the Tillerman, but there was Into White and Longer Boats. Karen Carpenter?

Longer Boats as filler? That's one of my favorite songs, and Cat Stevens is on the lower end of musicians I like.

The Beatles' Please Please Me. Excellent covers, and brilliant originals. The first and best of their early years.

Interesting. I hate that album.

Simon Phillips is a great drummer--his work really shines on this:

Brian Eno: Overrated. I have to say it.

Bill MacCormick later played in a band that actually did put out an album where every song is a good song, the Peter Hammill-produced Avalanche, by the group Random Hold.

Its co-founders David Rhodes (who later joined Peter Gabriel after playing on 3) and David Ferguson coincidentally were said to have formed the band after meeting at an 801 show and complaining about how they didn't like it.
