I decided to mix things up, and go way back to the 1980's and feature a year of #1 songs instead going year by year backwards.

Which song that hit reached #1 in 1983 is your favorite?

I had it narrowed down to three favorites and ended up choosing "Africa."

OP, which is your favorite?

I really dislike music from the early 1980's, even though I was young and in my twenties then.

From reading your list of songs, I can clearly remember why!

I am even a huge Hall and Oates fan, but "Maneater" is probably my least favorite of all their songs. Not the best period for music in my opinion.

I voted for the Eurythmics, but my vote could be different say next week. It's not even my favorite of theirs, I prefer "Here Comes The Rain Again" to "Sweet Dreams". But still I was feeling that more than the others. I also like the Toto song too, and the Paul/Michael duet.

"Maneater" has a GREAT bass line, so I went with that song. There are a few other strong candidates though, like "Africa", both Michael Jackson songs, and "All Night Long".

I'm familiar with all of the songs listed, and it is a lot easier to identify the worst song - "Total Eclipse of the Heart". UGH.

I met Daryl Hall in 2010. That is not bad song but certainly not their best.

Agree with the Bonnie Tyler assessment.

This was a tough one as I like almost every one of those songs. I had to go with Come on Eileen just because it's funky, fun and brings back a lot of good memories. Good poll. Lots of good choices.
