I often pace these polls few days apart because I don't generally like starting threads everyday. But I figured since it is a lazy afternoon and my Monday will be pretty busy, why not do a poll one day earlier?
This poll is for 1980, the first year of the decade. After this I'll do 1982, 1988, 1986 and 1989. Then after the 1980's poll series are done for good, I will start a new decade. Could be the seventies or the nineties.
Anyways out the songs to reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in 80', which do you like best?
Personally I am leaning on Pink Floyd, Blondie(though I voted for them in the 1981 poll), Queen, Michael Jackson and heck that Olivia Newton-John song is good. This was before my time, and I generally don't like her music. The Diana Ross song is good, and probably dead last on this list is Kenny Rogers. Don't care for the song, and I don't like him for some unexplainable reason.
I must say those Queen songs are weak in the band's repertoire. "Another One Bites The Dust" is the better one, "Crazy" is a crappy song from a great band.
"Another One Bites the Dust" gets my vote, with Pink Floyd as runner-up.
