Speaking of Alan Parsons, someone needs to update the Wikipedia page on these guys.
It shows the last studio lp as Gaudi, released in 1987. Some of their releases over the last 10 to 15 years are among my personal favorites, including "On Air", "A Valid Path," "Time Machine.' "Try Anything Once.' and "Live In Columbia."
In their early days, they never toured. One of the radio interview lp's I remember (Nightbird and Co.) had the reason being that different musicians played on their early lp's. In fact, if you listen to Gaudi,, pick up the lead vocals by guest vocalist Gary Brooker of Procol Harum! I love Procol, always have. On their first lp (Tales of Mystery and Imagination) Arthur Brown does lead vocals on a few songs. Arthur Brown came on the rock scene in 1968 with his classic song "Fire." He still records, though none of his recordings these days are avaialble as U.S. pressings. And of course, you have Eric Woolfson, who sadly passed away a few years ago.
Finally, around 1990 or so, they started to tour. God, they were great! Saw them in Denver in 1990. And in the believe it or not dept., they played at the Avalon Theater in Grand Junction, Colorado. IIRC it was 2007. They said during their set that they had never been to this part of the States, but loved it. And they played a great set!
