I think the change in seasons is affecting my taste in music at the moment (this happen to anyone else?). Here are two songs from The End (whose CD Elementary is simply brilliant IMO), but rather than their typical mathcore style, they are progressive, darker, and atmospheric. Both get heavier about 2/3 the way through:
