I never got on this thread before. I can barely keep up with the ones I'm on, and how would I decide how many to play, which ones, and who would get left out? And I knew later, when I couldn't edit, I would regret some choices. Problem solved. Went out tonight. Took one CD I bought my mom a couple of Christmases ago. ShBoom. I was bored with my music. Summerz,

I can't rep you, like most people. NICE Selection! Cristopher Cross and Robert John were especially nice. Made me think of a whole bunch more that could fit into the theme.

The one that stands out for me, for some reason, is I was thinking Terry Jacks' "Seasons in the Sun," would fit in nicely with your collection.

Thanks for sharing.

Cool Boston

This is a grouping of Boston, with several taken from "The Third Stage," as I really like that CD and the individual stories the songs tell as well as the story the CD tells overall.

In addition to the usual YouTube link, I selected some meaningful lyrics, to me, from each song.

1.
YouTube - boston cantcha say you belief in me still in love

Can'tcha You Say

"Can'tcha say you believe in me?
Can'tcha say you believe in me?
You know that where there's a will there's a way.
Can'tcha say you believe in me?
Can't you see what it means to me?
Don't leave me alone tonight,
'Cause I still love you."

"We've had our time apart
And I knew right from the start
I could never change
The way I feel about you baby.
We can sit here all night long
And separate the right from the wrong
But love won't wait."

- Tom Schulz, Gary Green and Brad Delp

2.
YouTube - Boston Bonner Springs Brad Delp Speaks (Living Fo You)

Living For You

"You know I'm just livin' for you
And I, I never needed to lie
Can't you see I believe in my heart when I'm saying
It's love that you see
You're just the one for me
I'm praying

Maybe I'm dreaming, don't want to wake up now
Baby, I love you, I always knew it somehow
Happened so easy, don't need to think it through
It's not so amazing
Been going so crazy for you"

- Tom Shulz

3.
YouTube - Amanda - Boston

Amanda

"And I feel like today's the day
I'm lookin' for the words to say
Do you wanna be free, are you ready for me
To feel this way
I don't wanna lose you
So, it may be too soon, I know
The feeling takes so long to grow
If I tell you today will you turn me away
And let me go?
I don't wanna lose you"

-Tom Shulz

4.
YouTube - Boston My Destination

My Destination

"And I
I've taken so long, I know
Never had so far to go
It's not where you can be, it's what you can see
That takes you there
Your destination"

"Your destination
It's here inside, right here inside"

-Tom Shulz

5.
YouTube - Boston - To Be a Man

To Be a Man

"What does it take to be a man?"

"The will to give and not receive
The strength to say what you believe
The heart to feel what others feel inside
To see what they can see"

"A man is somethin' that's real
It's not what you are
It's what you can feel
It can't be too late
To look through the hate and see
I know that's what a man can be
"

-Tom Schulz

ENJOY - BOSTON ON A HOT SUMMER DAY FOR MANY OF US. MAYBE BY POSTING BOSTON, A NEW ENGLAND-BASED BAND, SUMMERZ AND OTHERS WILL GET SOME OF OUR SUNSHINE (AT LEAST I HOPE YOU DO)
