Ya know you can click on my name, then "view public profile" to tell me something, without trying to rep me, right?

Check out theRADIO.com

Go to the bottom of the homepage and click either genres or channels and explore away. Lots and lots to choose from. You can also choose by artist.

Just listened to The Allman Brothers Band "Layla[live]". You don't hear that everyday.

Pandora kinda sucks because 90% of the music you get will always be crap.

For example: You create a station "Soundgarden", or say "Sonic Youth", and what you would expect is artists and songs that are roughly similar. Alternative. Lots of buzz and lots of fuzz.

What you get instead is annoying American Idol-type music that Pandora thinks is similar to Sonic Youth simply because it's "hard rock", most likely because Pandora is getting paid by the record companies to push this glossy commercial crap on you. You WILL NOT get rare 80s, 90s alternative playlist by creating a station "Sonic Youth". The attributes they use are laughable.

Live365.com is WAY superior.

Also, there's another FREE one called Jango.

You set up your own files with what you like for artists and it (they) play it for you.
Then you can thumbs up to keep it, or thumbs down and they will delete it.

Do check them out.

the best is Slacker Personal Radio....

Slacker Personal Radio - Listen to Free Internet Radio Stations

free too.

I've been so frustrated with Pandora. Every time I ask it to find music similar to the bands I like it either gives me other bands that I already know about and like to listen to or it gives me bands that do not sound like the act I listed.
