While I like their older stuff, I actually like newer Bon Jovi stuff better from about 2000 to present.

Bon Jovi's appearance on American Idol was pretty funny. 17 year old Jordin Sparks says "Oh my God, my mom loves your music". It looked like that comment put him in a foul mood.

I do like most of their earlier stuff but I do have to say one thing. You are not like a cowoby and you are not wanted dead or alive.

I personally know Jon. My whole family knows him, especially my sister. Her boy plays football with Jons son. Jon lives just a couple doors down from Geraldo Rivera and my sister lives one block in from the Shrewsbury River where Jons 4 story 12,000 SF all brick boomerang shapped home conforms to the shape of the bend in the river. Geraldo has a 33' sailboat which has not left it's dock in 15 years that I know of. It is almost sinking from the weight of the barnacles. I guess he is never home enough to use it.

I was never a big fan of Bon Jovi's music. My ex wife's sisters husband played in a bar band with Jon long before he became a somebody. I am well familiar with the story of hunkering down in Jons little cape cod home's basement and writing that Slippery When Wet record. Going over and over and over it till it was perfection. I grew up in the next town. I played football against his High School (I think it was a private Catholic school) where I played running back in 76 and 77 I think it was.

Anyway.....my best song by Jon is the one he did with Jennifer Nettles and my beloved Sugarland. They did this song for Habbit For Humanity which I also give my time to. I do believe this video is a New Jersey home. Talk about perfectly matched vocals for a great duet!!! Damn I love this song. Jennifer you are so beautiful and you can sing like the heavens ! When I seen Sugarland last summer they did this song. It was just not the same without Jons voice backing her.

Enjoy......

Been a fan since Runaway, I like the earlier music better. The box set gets lots of play here.
Loved hearing some of the songs slower and acoustical when they were played.
Destination Anywhere great solo album.
Richie and Dave have also done some great solo work and should do more.

I love Bon Jovi! Have been a fan since Slippery. I don't have everything they have done and don't need to know/see everything they do but if it were possible.... I would go to every concert they do! I know many won't agree with me but I really like the "This Left Feels Right" CD. I listen to it a lot! Took a little bit to get used to the songs being done a little differently but some I actually prefer this way.
And I agree... The guys have gotten even hotter over the years!
