That song was huge when I was in Germany in early 1987. Her voice wasn't as generic as some others, a bit like Stacy Q, Expose' and later Paula Abdul. "In the Heat of the Night" has been posted a few times in this thread, here's another from her, 1988, "Secret Land". It wasn't really the type of music I was into, but when I saw the video in a Frankfurt musikklub I was taken aback; my wife could have been confused with Sandra at the time.
