Which female singer, whose style fell between the cracks of the genres(often described as "sophisticated") had many albums, two of which had the exact same title, seven years apart?

she performed solo but I'll give u a hint, when she didn't have a hit in 9-10 years Barry Manilow helped her out and all of a sudden she had a hit or 2

Default ha ha

i forgot about Bette and Barry in the early 70's. Bette was into neo- nostalgia in the early 70's but the artist I am referring to was more straight pop, more conservative than Bette, she took less chances musically that Bette

Bette's first album was in 72 but the artist i refer to started before Bette, probably close to a decade more prior to Bette

Hint--in 1974 she duetted with a well known R&B group but it was not HER song

again, she had 2 albums with the same title, both 7 years apart , but the second album was her breakthough after 9-10 years of no hits, rescued by Barry Manilow. In fact, the album was basically a Barry album only it was her her singing instead of him
