I have been a Sade fan since her first single.
When my kids were toddlers, I'd have her music playing to soothe them (and me sometimes) for naps. Now, they are adults, bought her cds & still listen to her music. To me, she is a gifted artist and her music is timeless. I have heard the new single and it grew on me quickly.
Her band is
no joke either. Not sure but a couple of the band members were in group called "Sweetback" and they put out a nice cd. Maxwell was on one of the cuts and that was good.
I checked out Sade's website last night and after you see the "Soldier of Love" video, there is like a "behind the scenes" video of her and the band, which was very good. Also, there are older videos (a song I didn't hear before) and concert clips--nice surprise.
I hope she stays true to herself, stays in her
own category and doesn't become a "diva" type . I'd
absolutely despise that!
