she didn't do anything for "him" - he happened to be there

and $2M is not chump change to anyone

the music industry is full of scumbag promoters, club owners, record executives, etc

for me it would be different if there was some kind of exclusivity in the performance

as if she was actually performing "for him" - as in she went to him and performed for him, like a private event at his home

instead she was most likely contacted by a promoter saying that there were going to be a series of shows in St. Barths over the holidays at this bar and other island locales .... they want her to perform and the pay is $2M, you in?

I don't think he picked up the phone, called her on her cell and said "hey, you want to perform for me?"
