Hi, My husband and I and our 28 month old daughter just moved to Pawleys Island -- we just relocated from CO. I am trying to find out what stay at home moms do around here with toddlers? I can't seem to find any parks with Moms hanging around. Are there any programs here for toddlers where the parents attend also? Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Try meetup.com There are all sorts of groups, including several for moms and children. Also, many times, you will find that the library has a story hour for children and you might meet some other moms and children at one of those. Or a local church, etc.
Also check out MOPS International - Mothers of Preschoolers it is an acronym for Mothers of Preschoolers, they have plenty of churches and other groups in the area that provide not only the kids time with other kids, but also focus on mothers being together with social events with the kids etc. Don't really know much about them, but their website looks like it might fit your bill, seems to be a lot of churches that have groups!
There are several MOMS clubs in the area. Start at the library. Many mom groups have fliers up. Also at McDonald's there is a free magazine called PARENTS. This has lists of meetings and what not.
