Can anyone tell me if Black Friday is a big deal in this area? This will be my first BF here, and I'm curious about what I should expect. Do people start lining up at stores days in advance? In NJ, I would go out at 5am and was usually done by nine. Not sure what to expect, or even where I should start. One of the malls? Stick to Target and Kohls? Any and all advice would be very much appreciated!

I'm actually curious to know the answer to this myself. I'll be there next year for B.F. and would like to know.

Also does anyone know what is going on this year at the Coach outlet the day before Thanksgiving? I'll be visiting a Coach outlet next week and i'm curious if anyone knows what will be going on at the outlet next week. Any deals?

It's a big deal at the two Tangers - Hwy 17S and Hwy 501

Most of the stores have big bargains and the place is a madhouse, starting at 10pm Thanksgiving night.

Personally I hope Small Business Saturday is more successful.

Help America's small businesses stay in business. Shop LOCAL and INDEPENDENT stores so the money actually supports the community instead of impoverishing it. ... just my 1 1/2 cents ...

Default Thanks!

Thanks for the links! Can't get over how many stores are opening on Thursday. I may just wait for Small Business Saturday, as this will be our first Christmas in SC and I like the idea of sending local gifts.

Happy Thanksgiving!

AMEN Neecewh!! Thanks for posting that. Please consider purchasing local. How about some Carolina stone ground grits? A Pawleys Island hammock? Take a drive down to the shops by the hammock store, you can find something for everyone on your list. I'm sure there are many more suggestions that others will make as well.

Also if anyone is interested in the Coach factory store, the deal going on now until Dec 2nd is 30% off plus and additional 10% storewide. I just got my card in the mail today for the deals, and plan on spending it tomorrow. Happy shopping!
