I have been reading a lot about the storm damage from Mathew. I haven't seen any posts about flooding or damage to the Myrtle Trace community or Conway Plantation. Does anyone know how these areas made out during and after the storm? I also read the Waccamaw River is not going to crest until Tuesday, Oct. 17. Is this true? This would mean even more flooding wouldn't it?

The Waccamaw River at Conway is forecast to crest Sunday evening. You can watch the official river gauge there from NOAA's website here:

National Weather Service Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service

The blue line is current and past observations, the purple line going out in the future. Always subject to change. Currently shows it's less then half a foot from cresting, but at least a few inches lower then it's record but still well above flood stage. I don't have additional information on this area.
