Evening folks:

Will be looking at Barefoot Resort again tomorrow for a single family home. Some gated communities, some not. Great realtor but he cautions us about the pools and community center (due to the influx of summer renters) being way overcrowded in the May to September months. Before we jump in (pun intended) I thought I'd ask you all if this an accurate assessment of the pools in BR.
As always thanks for your help here.....I will pay it forward.

-Steve

Depends where you live....any of the "neighborhoods" that allow "rentals" will be busy on a hot, sunny day. If you're in a neighborhood that doesn't allow rentals, then you're good.....you will only have residents using your pool. Each neighborhood has their own pool!
We are in Willow Bend, which IS a "rental" community,(although there are many "residents" who are there year-round)....but during the summer, the pool CAN be packed. Not always, but the possibility is always there.
If you're doing a single family home, you will not be over-run with renters. They rent the condos....not so much "single family" homes.

Thanks CB - this is what I've been looking for. We are looking in one of the gated communities and did not know that each has its own pool. At this time, we've decided to try and sell our home in Northern VA before we make the move to NMB, especially given the Covid-19 situation.

I have found that some days are just too hot for the pool in summer. The beach is much more comfortable.

Barefoot is in the process of rebuilding their beach cabana....when we go to the beach, that's where we generally head. It's only available to OWNERS...not folks who are renting in barefoot (unless they're a LONG TERM rental). Has shower to rinse off sand, bathrooms, etc...
