Groceries are a little more expensive along the shore towns than inland, I think. But they are not as expensive (or anymore expensive at least) than NJ & NY. Housing varies greatly depending on where you are looking & what you are looking for. You can get a decent 3 b/r 1600sqft house in the area of $200k in Pawleys, less in Murrells Inlet/Socastee. Property taxes & utilities are much less than up north.
