Hello All,

I just found out this morning that I will be moving to Naples. I am on here to get specific information on which apartment complexes to look into, since I will most likely not be able to see it beforehand. About me, I am 30 years old and so if my wife. We have a baby on the way. I figure I will rent for the first year and then buy. I will be working near Goodlette and 5th Ave S and I would really like my commute to be less than 15 minutes. The most important thing is safety. Any suggestions? Any areas to avoid? Thank you!

Read the posts in this thread: //www.city-data.com/forum/naple...-advice-3.html

Summary: Apartments in Naples are ghetto, some worse than others. Get a condo. You won't find any safe apartments within 15 minutes. The closest are Carver and River Park and they are section 8.

I started reading that post, but it got off topic pretty quickly. I guess i'll try to go through it again tonight. How about complexes 25 minutes away?

They are so-so. Sort of middle of the pack.

How about Falls of Portofino? I've found it hard to find something decent in our price range of $900-1300 that also accepts pets. I have two dogs, both under 25lbs.

I would consider those. They are fairly new and in a good part of town (compared to most other apartments), although somewhat isolated compared to the others. Close to a shopping area.
