Just an observation... I use trulia and it seems like these single family home rentals go in the blink of an eye. I thought I was in a somewhat high price range wanting to pay around 2800 - 3500 per month for a good sized house with a pool. Heard from a realtor about a home that was just put on the market for 4700 per month and thought it might last a little while because of the price, but it was gone within 5 days. So I guess I'm in the low price bracket!! Is it just that a lot of people are moving to Naples or people nowadays don't want to buy, or just not that much inventory?!! And does this go on all year or is it seasonally variable?!!

Naples rental market has ALWAYS been high. Although it came down drastically it is still higher than other parts of Florida.
$4700-how close to the beach? That sound like a seasonal price or it is a very large home and/or close to the beach.
What part of Naples are you looking?

Are you looking for a short-term furnished rental or a long-term unfurnished one? It sounds like those prices are for "season." The numbers don't mean much unless you know if they are seasonal, furnished and the location.

Try finding a place in our price range of $950 or less. You practically qualify for 8 housing in north naples on that price . We haven't left our condo in 6 years cause its the only place we can afford for $950 thats in nice development. Just trying to find a new place means laying down $3000+.. It's outrageous really. We don't even know how much longer we can stay they've raised our rent $50 a year for the past 3 years or so were almost priced out and were in a smallish 2 bed 1100 sqft place
