Thoughts and prayers going out to you and yours. I have family on Merritt Island, in Dunellon, and in Cape Coral. Praying for best possible outcomes; will be thinking of you all.

Thoughts? It had to happen sooner or later. My North Naples condo is the bottom floor of a concrete building. The hurricane shutters are up. From what I could determine from Google my back yard (west facing) is between 16 and 22 feet above sea level. We are on the East side of Airport road. So, I feel if our condo and community is destroyed, we were simply not meant to live there........

We are in NJ at the moment so are safe.

To anyone sheltering in the North Naples area, please give us regular updates as to wind, rain and flooding while you still have internet access and stay safe.

I’m not there, but am checking my cameras (several are battery powered). With 2 internet providers and battery backup I hope to still be able to see what is going on for a few hours after power is lost. Cranked my air to 65 degrees, hoping for the best.

Please share if you can. What is the location please? Why crank the air? I was going to shut mine down (via my Nest).

Cranking the air to keep humidity down and to prolong the corresponding rise.

I will describe what I can...my Canary system will let me know when they go offline, but hopefully the Arlo cams will be good for a while longer.

Olde Cypress - Immokalee and Logan. Now predicted for 1-3 foot storm surge despite being 7 miles inland.

After the keys, the Naples/Fort Myers area is looking like its going to get hit head on and take the brunt of the storm.

Stay safe folks!

Still hoping we get some more time before the track shifts to mostly north....the 11pm track is continuing to trickle a bit further west...crossing my fingers.
