So PieFive and NY Pie are both coming to town (within a mile from one another). We also have Windy City Pizza and Brixx which are just down the street. I love the options, just hope they all can keep profitable.

Sadly, I was holding out for a Mellow Mushroom. Not only do I like MM's pies (great dough), they typically have a very good draft craft beer selection. I've heard their secret ingredient in the dough is molasses in place of sugar which is typically used. The molasses gives the crust it’s darker color. With so much competition in a concentrated space, not so sure they'd consider the area now.

Well the Pizza Machine couldn't make it when they were on the Square. They moved about a mile or so down the road. If it was profitable I figure they would've stayed there. The square in Gallatin is begging for more food venues, but many of them don't seem to stick around after a year or two.

Goodlettsville? I don't know maybe. Rivergate seems to be sliding down hill, not sure if Mellow Mushroom fits well in that part of town. Mellow Mushroom is on the pricey side for pizza. Not sure could survive there.

Agreed with the concentration concerns. Same goes for the burger joints...Culvers/Red Robin/Apollo. While Culvers seems more of a fast food style and RR and Apollo are sit down, it does seem like those will cannibalize themselves a bit. Likewise for the pizza joints. Personally, I'm really hoping Windy City thrives. Locally owned, unique product in this part of the city...just hope they can survive the competition.

I don't think a Mellow Mushroom would do as well anywhere else in our area outside of Indian Lake. And, like it's been noted, with other pizza joints in town I don't see it making a lot of business sense. Too bad, I really like them.
