Hello, I'm living in Cincinnati at the moment and have came down several times to Nashville to rent a home only to not like the safety or look of the neighborhood. Does anyone know the area in East end? The street is called Village Court near Electric av. It's close to 5 points and dog parks and I googled mapped it. it looks ok but I know East Nash can be hit or miss. Thanks for any help.

^ East End is north of Shelby and tends to be further along in the gentrification process than the neighborhoods south of Shelby. It looks like the house is probably more towards the Shelby Hills area.

I would check a crime map if you have some concerns about the safety near the home. Just enter the address in the link below and adjust the dates so you can see what's happened in the vicinity for the last six months.

Village Court is south of Shelby.

I lived at the corner of 18th and Electric for two years, up to May of this year, and we had a great experience there. No problems at all. Even though that area is a lot less popular and not nearly as "gentrified" as the other side of Shelby, it's objectively just as safe (or possibly even safer) than Five Points, etc. I kept very close track of crime in the neighborhood, and you'll see a residential burglary once or twice a month, but otherwise almost nothing. IMO, you get way more bang for your buck on that side of Shelby.

I will say that Village Court is closer to the projects than where I lived, so I would imagine that it's a little different, but I've known people who've lived over there and they haven't had problems. Village Court is kind of tucked away too, so it's less traveled in general.
