Could someone please recommend a hotel near Vanderbilt University? I have a meeting at the Peabody College of Education and Human Development in mid-May. I am hoping for something under $125 (including parking) and preferably with free breakfast. Thank you.

THere are many hotels near Vanderbilt. To get your price would require some AAA/AARP type discount.

I would go with either the Hampton Inn or the Embassy Suites.

The prices will probably be higher because of the location, though.

I used Trip Advisor for reviews and always have good luck with hotels there.

The hotels in that area generally start at about $150 and go up. I saw a price for the Holiday Inn Vanderbilt of $149 for a mid-week in May, but there is no free breakfast and they may charge for parking. There is a Best Western on Division for $110 but the reviews are dicey. Since you have a car, you might want to stay in a cheaper area - such as out by the airport.

Or you might want to check out the guest accommodations at the Scarritt Bennett Center - an education center very near Vandy that have private guestrooms:

This ^^ is a very cool - and quiet! - place. But be prepared to share a bathroom with another guest room. Just FYI.

Thanks! I got a rate of $99/night at Home2 Suites by Hilton. Its expensive to park, but I can deal with it because of the rate.
