I am coming down to Nashville on April 10 for a final interview for a job. I am a middle class gal with a 5 year old and a Great Dane and Boston Terrier. I am looking for a nice place to live with GOOD SCHOOLS that won't break my bank. Does anyone have a good location to get a decent priced apartment that will accept my slobbery Great Dane and still have great schools? I currently live in a middle of a corn field in southern central Iowa. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

1. Where is the job located?
2. Define "won't break my bank".

I LOVE Great Danes but that's going to be a bit tough . . probably the further out, the easier it might be. But N.Cal's questions are good ones and the answers are necessary for us to be of much help.

The job is at Vanderbilt hospital. Right now my mortgage is around 800 a month plus all the utilities I pay. I am going to have a 5 year old starting kindergarten this fall. She will need daycare/pre-school until then. Just trying to get some advice before choosing an apt online. Thanks

The tough part is finding an apartment for a Great Dane. Some apartments have a problem with big dogs. The Boston Terrier better not be a terror for any maintenance workers.

For the price & good schools try Bellevue with transit to Vanderbilt paid. You have time before high school begins.
