Hello all,

Is there a Caribbean population in Nashville? I will be moving to Nashville soon and would like to find Caribbean people, food, farmers market etc.

Not that I know of. We probably have one somewhere, but I'm guessing it's fairly small. Try Antioch or East Nashville maybe?

Thank you for the responses. Where is Bordeaux? I am looking to settle in the Hermitage or Mt. Juliet areas.

Hermitage and Mt. Juliet are nice and suburban. Both, particularly Mt. Juliet, are overwhelmingly white and don't have any type of Caribbean feel at all. Bordeaux is.......well.....I'll let people more knowledgeable than myself answer that. You'll probably get mixed responses, or answers along the lines of "but it's getting better".

Hi, are you religious, ie Seventh Day Adventist? A lot of Caribbean people here, especially those who own businesses, are within this religion. Inquire abo tge Caribbean community here with those who work at Janaicaway in the Farmers Market and at Cupcake Collection in Germantown, near the Farmer's Market.

Thank you KeraKera for your response! I consider myself more spiritual than religious. I do go to church but it is usually a non-denominational church. So it sounds as if there is some Caribbean presence in Nashville but not a very large one. I am very cool with all cultures and religions but once I am living in Nashville I would love to have some Caribbean flavor once in awhile and at the very least meet a few people from the Caribbean. I will check out Jamaicaway when I next visit.

Hi! I am similar... kinda. Not religious, but iffy about spirituality, lol. I do go to a seventh day adventist church here sometimes and there are a lot of Caribbean people there. Just a few Saturdays ago, they had an international day.

Check out Jamaicaway. There was recently a Caribbean festival in the area of antioch. The people at the restaurant can further assist in your request. Take care.
