We live near White House, TN. We're so getting tired of all the rain and want to be outside. We've only been in TN for a few months now.

Can anyone tell me if it rains a lot down here (spring/summer/fall)? We so enjoy being outside barbecuing and relaxing with the dogs in the yard.

We have been getting a lot of rain lately (I'd rather have it than snow). Often times it can be rainy in the springtime, alternating with wonderful sunny days. In summer most of the rain is in the form of evening thunderstorms, or quick downpours. In fall there will be many great days (from mildly warm and sunny to sunny but cool), but with some rainy days too. Last year was an oddball year weather-wise for most of the spring and summer.

I'm sure you'd like to get outside, but remember, it is still winter. All things considered, it not too bad to suffer through a few rainy days rather than zero degree temperatures for days on end, or two feet of snow like some of the places up north have to put up with.

National and Local Weather Forecast, Radar, Map and Report is a good source for weather info. Gives past yearly averages too.

You will appreciate Spring all the more when it arrives...there's nothing like the sight of the first flowers in bloom...the buds on the Bradford Pear trees...ahhhhhh.

Tennessee is such a beautiful place to live...and you'll have plenty of opportunities to play outside! Just be patient through the winter...
