This. Brentwood is the crown jewel of Williamson County. If you can afford Brentwood, do it. I wouldn't give Franklin a second thought.

Thanks all I will focus on Brentwood to see what the current housing stock on the market looks like then drive it. I am moving toward a trip late next week running into the following week. Ive lived in NJ, a Somerset County suburb of NYC, and Pittsburgh so have seen cold winters before. A quick look at real estate pricing here says it will work just more older housing stock to chose from vs other options?

My Dad's family is from just outside of Lewisburg, on the Houston side of his family, spent many summers there growing up and spent half a year there when my dad was sick. So knew the general area long ago not recently so need this trip. I know the area has grown tremendously since I was last there.

It looks like Brentwood would be a good central hotel or motel option to explore the over all area including Hendersonville and Mount Juliet to use one location to base my search?

My two vehicles are both AWD, just a personal preference for me but I do not put snow tires on. Seeing the typical low snow fall levels in central Tn I assume this same set up will be ideal for this location too?

I certainly wouldn't worry about snowfall here in the Nashville area. We get a little bit but no need for snow tires. If anything would be a concern it would be ice on the roads at times.

With your need for close proximity to good medical facilities I wouldn't overlook Murfreesboro. St Thomas has a hospital here and there is the Murfreesboro Medical Center.

Schools are good, there is a Sam's Club in town and plenty of other shopping. Housing prices are going to be considerably less than Brentwood.

Thanks for the input I will give it a look. Much of the new development I see in Williamson county looks to be on the side near Murfreesboro. My brothers daughter and my grandma on dad's side both graduated from MTSU there.
