Okay...we have decided we like a home in Willow Springs, but still don't know much about the subdivision. We can't decide if it is too far out or just really a short drive to things (we don't live in the area yet, so only see it when we come to town). There is another home available in Polk Place that looks pretty nice, but we don't know anything about that area. Can anyone shed any more light on these two areas for me? Also, there are a lot of homes for sale in Willow Springs. I am hoping it is just a coincidence, but I am curious way so many are open at once (not talking about the new homes that are for sale...existing homes). Help!

I have a friend that lives in Polk Place, its a very nice neighborhood and she has a lovely home. We looked at Willow Springs about 2-2.5yrs ago during the housing boom and it still had tons for sale, it turned us off the neighborhood. I'm not sure what's going on over there but it appears something is.

I doubt something is going on. Being that its a new subdivision some people buy and then get transfered, some before even moving in. I notice in the new subdivisions there are a lot more for sale signs.

Thanks for the feedback. We are still trying to figure it out. We are going to keep looking a bit more. Just can't decide.

One consideration would be the schools. Willow Springs is Hillsboro Elementary, right? It's a good school, but it's way out in Leipers Fork! Polk Place is FSSD, so you can apply to Poplar Grove. For me that would be huge, but it's not a big deal for everyone.

This isn't just about what looks good on paper, Tony. This is their home! I appreciate your expertise regarding sales, comps, etc., but if they don't feel comfortable there, or the schools aren't a good fit, what's the point?

I just found your headline odd. How can you proclaim a neighborhood to be better for her family when you don't even know her? You see what I'm saying?

This is an old thread, but I thought I'd clear up some misinformation. WillowSprings, though it goes to Hillsboro middle, does not go all the way out to Leiper's Fork for elementary. We are zoned for Winstead.
