OK I live on the north end of Portland and something is digging tunnels in my yard. It reminds me of the old Bugs Bunny cartoon but I never see it. All I see is the channels it leaves behind. I step on the channel and it caves in but it is not very deep...... Any Ideas?

Get rid of the grubs that they are chasing for food and you will get rid of the moles. You can get some granules that you spread to eliminate them.

We also got one of this sonic vibrating mole eliminator thingy at Home Depot. We have not seen moles since doing those two things.

If you poison the grubs, won't you kill the birds also ¿...

I heard putting hair clippings in the mole tunnel would run them off. More environmentally friendly at least ...lol.

Borrow a big, nasty Male cat from someone. We had this problem and I had a cat who LIVED to catch things like moles.

Could it be a wood chuck? My brother inlaw shot one a couple weeks ago when we visited NY. It was digging holes and burrows in the ground.

Not according to the bag. It rinses down into the ground below the surface. We have a ton of birds around here and have not seen any decrease in them. My husband is a bird freak so I don't think he would have risked that.

I have moved that sonic thing around to different areas of the yard and that seems to really help too.
