Do any of you know anything about Celebration Homes and the Villas of Canterbury they are building south of I840 off of Critz Lane? We are planning a move to the area and found the web site, but it's hard to tell much from the pictures. Thanks

That is a really really nice area. Where are you moving from?

Northern Illinois, where it was way below zero last week.

Just know that you are way, way out in the boonies if you are thinking about working in Nashville.

When we walked through a Celebration model home at some point we were less than blown away by their quality. It looked like they slapped those homes up as fast as humanly possible.

We will be retired, so the commute is no problem. It's so hard to find quality builders.

There are several great builders in the middle TN area. What is your price range and are you wanting to be close to things like shoping or would you rather be out in the country?

You definitely have some other options in the area from local builders. Even some in Canterbury. Big TR makes a good point too. You'll be able to see if the difference is worthwhile for you (once you can walk the properties). The surrounding off Critz have a rural feel, but as the 840 corridor matures, that area is getting more and more convenient.

Was it the drawings of their homes or the community features that you are most attracted by?

We don't want to spend more than $250,000. We would love to be near Franklin, but the homes there seem to be more expensive and older. We don't want to have to deal with termite infestations and roofing a house, etc. We liked both the drawings and the proposed amenities.
