Any input on this area? It's close to Bradford Hills, in South Nashville. Backs up to Brentwood within a few minutes - and was wondering what the "vibe" on the neighborhood was.

It seems nice, and my family is considering moving there. Anyone know about the area?

It's a nice, family friendly area with affordable homes for the most part. Most of the houses were built in the 1990s and have about 2100sf with 3 or 4 bedrooms. It is also somewhat convenient to I65 or I24 but rush hour traffic can be an issue. Another downside for some people would be Davidson County schools. There are currently eight houses on the market in Holt Woods with an average listing price of 225k.
Hope this helps.

Thanks gbone. I just want to make sure it's an area where the resale value won't tank - my family & I cruised the area one night and found it to be pretty peaceful. The new developments along Nolensville Rd. are handy as well.

Any additional advice would be appreciated - Holt Woods seems like a nice area for the price. Is it considered a decent-to-good part of town?

I consider myself decent and good, and I live just down Nolensville Road from that neighborhood. So, I'd say it is a decent-to-good part of town. :-) My husband heads down Holt Road every morning toward the Centennial Park area, and it takes him about 40 to 45 minutes during rush hour times to commute. I'm usually going through the Holt area around 8:00 to 8:20, and it's not usually too bad. It's probably about 15 minutes to I-24 if you go the "back" way, and about 10 to 15 over to I-65. We find the area extremely convenient, especially with the Kroger and Publix so close. Good luck with your decision!

I second what skyblue said. It is a nice area for the price and I would consider it a good part of town. Houses turn over fairly quickly in Holt Woods due to its convenient location and prices.

Very good neighborhood. Family friendly and safe as anywhere else. Holt Woods has sidewalks and people are out walking all the time. Convienent to Nashville and Brentwood and Cool Springs. The neighborhood elementary and middle schools are new and very good.

Nice Area. I live near it in Winfield Park which is on Holt closer to Edmonson pike, 1/4 mile from the Williamson County Brentwood Line.
You will like it there.
