I am making my first visit to the area Sunday night through Weds day ,based in Franklin. I was looking forward to going to The Listening Room, but it liiks like it moved to downtown Nashville.Does anyone know if there is any live music small venues now in Franklin,Leipers Fork,Grasslands, or is the Bluebird Cafe the closest?

Pucketts's Grocery in Leiper's Fork and Franklin has live music. I just checked their web site and they have no shows in Leiper's Fork during your visit, but the Franklin store is having their Rising Star Songwriter's Contest Tuesday night at 7:00, $5 cover. Wednesday night they have an artist performing at 7:00, no cover. Puckett's isn't very large, I would suggest getting there early if you go on Tuesday.

My wife and I had dinner there a couple of weeks ago and they had a fantastic group called The Volunteer String Band. I'm not a country music fan, I go to Puckett's for the food.

I don't know if there is a live music venue in Grassland or not, and I didn't know The Listening Room had moved - I need to get out more.

The Bluebird has two shows a night Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It's only about 20 minutes from Franklin.

Yep, Puckett's is a good one. Also try Tin Roof in Cool Springs and Bunganut Pig.

(I may live in Franklin, but the Bluebird will always be my favorite )

I like going to the Bunganut Pig. It's small and everyone just dances to the music, around their tables. Yup, just get up and dance. They always have a great band. Plus the food is good.

It was always known as the smokiest place around, so I never went. Guess it's time I got over that!

Really? It's not smokey anymore? We only went once and have not returned because of the smokey factor. Good to know!

I just talked to Dina at the Pig, and she said they allowed smoking until the first of this year, but are now completely non-smoking. She also wanted me to add that they recently expanded into a new upstairs area, complete with 2 more pool tables.

Mystery solved.
