Nashville's airport received a blissful distinction among the nation's largest airports: seventh least miserable.

A story in U.S. News & World Report ranked the country's 100 busiest airports for their misery factors, based on the most on-time flights and the least crowded planes.

Nashville makes happy list: Airport 7th least miserable - Nashville, Tennessee - Sunday, 06/03/07 - Tennessean.com

I saw that on the news this morning. Funny that they refer to it as "least miserable" . . . not best or good, just least miserable.

That's hilarious. Makes sense, though. Airports aren't exactly where anyone goes for a good time. Least miserable is high praise. I'll take it.

Strange way to compliment someone The US News and World Report story only includes Nashville in the list. I thought it might really be in focus. I have loved traveling through BNA in comparison to the West Coast airports. Even Memorial Day traffic was a breeze.

Amen!

The same story also listed Knoxville as the 5th least miserable among the country's 53 regional airports. Even though air fares out of Knoxville are generally pretty high, it's a great airport.
