I think you're right, that he can withstand having the hook stay. But can't withstand too long without O2.

I saw a flotilla of white birds in a pond. Too far away to see what kind, but not very big.

Pied-Billed Grebe ... just came up from feeding on the bottom.

That's very interesting and I'm not at all familiar with the Puffin. They look like penguin cousins! I couldn't understand all of the comments (bad speakers) but I did understand that they nearly stopped breeding due to not having a particular fish. I'll listen again and see if the speaker garble changes and I can hear more.
