The drive in Alberta Canada from Kananaskis through Banff, Lake Louis and up to the Continental Divide is a beautiful one.
I'd also highly recommend the Native American Scenic byway starting N. from Chamberlain, SD from I-90 and the Peter Norquist Scenic Byway in South Dakota's Black Hills.
I love the drive up to Mt. Evans. Never gets old. I am looking forward to traveling the Million Dollar Highway this summer or fall.
Kansas kinda gets a bad wrap. I like the wide openness of it. If they would raise their speed limit, it would make the drive on the highways feel much more liberating!
They recently raised the speed limits to 75 on most highways here, which to most people means 80. I think that's plenty fast. But yes, the driver up to Mount Evans is very nice.

That is good to know! I believe the last time I drove through it was only 70 on I-70.

These below are a few things you can find along the Flint Hills scenic byway. Sometimes it's not just the scenery, but sometimes some simple things such as bridges and lakes along the way that catch your eye.
This picture of the open plains is on the very Northern end of the the byway in a town called Council Grove. Open plains by bkern1989, on Flickr
This is a small fishing lake in the town of Cottonwood Falls, which is along the byway. Lake by bkern1989, on Flickr
This is a small section of the falls in which the town of Cottonwood Falls is named after. Unfortunately, I have never been to the falls after a rain storm, so I don't have any pictures of the actual falls itself. Small waterfall by bkern1989, on Flickr
My favorite is the road I live on, the Richardson Highway:
The Glenn Highway, which goes to Anchorage, is pretty great, too:
