Got one of those in my back yard with way too many free-loading customers! They really did a number on my flowers this year.
One of the bunnies which has been around for a couple of years now has that virus that is making huge growths on his head. Poor thing looks like the Elephant Man but so far he's still able to eat.
I've been running into articles about mother ducks with huge families of ducklings this year and have been wondering how a single duck can manage to incubate more than a modest-sized nestful of eggs. DH sent me this article about a merganser in northern MN which has been spotted with a huge brood and, better yet, it finally explains the mystery.
I just can't look at that picture without laughing. And also having a great deal of admiration for mama duck.
