Someone I know had snake. In his opinion it was similar to chicken but with fishy overtones.

I still don't want to eat cobra meat even if it tastes like chicken - if I wanted chicken, I would eat a real chicken. Blech, especially don't want to eat something that tastes like chicken with fishy overtones. Once I saw my grandmother prepare a turtle for a soup dish and I was sickened because I've had baby turtles as pets and I had a turtle that was part of the family for decades. To this day, I can't get that image of the turtle being prepped for soup. I would never touch turtle soup.
