Roller Coaster is right....oooooh, just remember that buying a home/property is one of the highest stress producing activities...remember to breathe!

Sending my best wishes & prayers for things to turn out in the very best results possible.

Where is this property located from Cambrigde? I have an Aunt and Uncle who lives in Cambrigde still. She works part time at the Talk of the Town cafe. My Uncle bowls on a league at the bowling lanes there. If you like golf you will like the 18 hole golf couse on the northeast corner of Cambridge as well. Fishing is good at Hugh Butler Lake as well. If you hunt you are in some of the best hunting area of Nebraska. You have it all there, wild turkey, deer, pheasant, quail, ducks, rabbits, about anything you can think of is there.

Welcome to Nebraska.

kos - place is 3 miles north of town. Can't wait to get started cleaning up the property. It's been neglected for quite a while so the weeds are taller than I am over most of the 5 acres. House was inspected yesterday and seems solid, though we're buying it as a fixer upper / major renovations needed.

I already learned the hunting and fishing residency requirements, but golf? I have to kid you a bit because I used to play until I saw the light...

First you have to balance the ball on a little stick so you can hit it as far away from you as possible. Then, depending on how good you are, you do it again, only this time without the ball balanced on the stick. Now of course once you get on the green, you don't just pick up your ball, you must first put the ball in a hole so you have further to reach down to pick it up.

Actually, the golf course really looks great as it winds along Medicine Creek, and the holes look like they offer a good challenge. I was surprised to learn of "golf tours" where small towns such as Cambridge really promote their courses for summer tourism. What a great idea! The only thing I noted is that the golf cart paths cross a county road that may not have enough markings for some idiot like me driving around the area for the first time.
