Wasn't open when I last in that area (about a month ago). The project was expected to be complete in late 2010, but they are running ahead of schedule. If I hear any word on when it'll be open, I'll come back and post here.

Thanks! Seems like FOREVER waiting for such a small bridge! lol
I was spoiled by growing up in a city that had FIVE bridges going across the Merrimack. And in Missouri, we regularly used the ferry to cross the rivers, and at the time, it seemed pretty quaint, but hey, it worked...

I read recently, somewhere online, that they predicted it would open in November. I was on Perimeter Road a few days ago and, although the traffic circle was finished, they had re-routed temporarily the rest of the road leading to Airport Road - what a mess! It snaked in every direction, reminded me of the Utopia in Disneyland. I hope it is done soon, as it will make it a lot easier to get to Bedford.
The Airport Access Road (oficially Raymond Wieczorek Drive) is opening next week. Thursday, November 10, at 10 AM there will be a ribbon cutting, and the road will be officially open for traffic on 11/11/11. While the Bedford/Merrimack side already has infrastructure, businesses in place, the Londonderry side is still mainly open land around the airport. Hopefully this will attract businesses to the now-undeveloped Pettengill Road that is south of the airport. There is still has quite a bit of work and cleanup to do. I was in that area just a couple of days ago, and it's looking better but still not *quite* ready for traffic. In any case, it will be great to have the easy access from Londonderry/Litchfield to Bedford/Merrimack in the very near future. No more Rte 102 bridge crossings into Nashua to get over to Merrimack It's terribly irritating to be able to SEE across the river to the almost exact spot that I need to get to, and have to drive 20 miles (10 miles down to the bridge, then 10 miles up Rte 3 to Merrimac).
