I don't have kids, but being a big kid I would have loved having that!! We ice skated, built snow forts, snow ball fights. The local country club in Nashua would open some of its holes for us to sled down after a big storm. For the nights it would freeze, the local firemen sprayed down the park's grass for ice skating the next day, it was usually a Saturday. We put vaseline on our cheeks for the winds, and wore snow suits. We LIVED outside in the wintertime when we were kids.

But, for your venture, it would have been a blessing. My birthday is Jan 15th. MLK day, and most of us had that following Monday off from school. NO ONE ever came to slumber parties, no parent wanted to drive out to Brentwood in that ick, that time of year. I was always jealous of the summer time birthday kids. An indoor jungle gym place would have been just perfect for us kids who have birthday's in the wintertime! GOOD LUCK TO YOU I hope it takes off just perfect up here!!!

I live in Concord, NH. There is a place like you speak of in Nashua, NH. It's called "Funworld." FunWorld Playground Nashua, NH

I would, however, like to tell you that I think something like this would work well in the Concord area. Like someone else said... I wouldn't go any further north than that though. It gets much more rural.

And, also like someone else said, the parents in this area tend to do things like this with their kids...

Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

My kids play outside more here than they did in SoCal. There's been lots of snow this winter (& fall), and they play in the snow for hours, aside from XC skiing. Personally, although we've been to our share of kids play places(not here in NH), I am much happier that my kids enjoy playing outside in the snow.

Default Yes I love the idea

Okay I know this post has been up a while but if you see this... I would love an update on your venture -

I think that something like this would be wonderful.. I would love to see something geared more toward younger kids.. who cant be out in the cold so long and parents need someplace their little ones can burn off some engery.

I think the Concord/Tilton area would be great.

I would love a place like that in Keene. I would just recommend staying away from the Funworld/Chucky Cheese thing. Play places can be great and fun for kids without being like small casinos that are miserable for parents. There was a place in So Cal where I lived called Bright Child that was great. They had lots of climbing activities so the kids were active. There were no games that required tokens. It was loud and a little crazy but a good place for kids to just run around and be kids without a creepy mouse trying to get the parents to keep shelling out the tokens.

I know it's been a while, but in Newington, there is a Chuck E. Cheese (as a mom of two, I HATE Chuck E. Cheese!), in Portsmouth , there is Rumble Tumble (awesome, safe, clean...hosts parties and offers memberships!), and in North Hampton there is Junior Gym (was there for a party...seems like a great place!)

I would love something like that in the Littleton area.
Having gone through a record setting winter with a 17 month old, it would be great to have a place where kids can run around instead of being trapped inside the house all day.
Actually, I relocated from Brooklyn and in my old neighborhood there was something like that. It was called Little People Parties and it was just a storefront operation. It seemed to do a good business and before I left they started expanding from just doing birthday parties to having family dance nights and a baby sitting service.

Good luck with whatever you do!

Hi Stacey Lynn - I remember you posting awhile back that you were thinking of moving to Northern NH - guess you decided on Littleton or the surrounding area......welcome

Something like this for kids would probably do well where the Brooks Pharmacy was before they merged with Rite-Aid. Not sure how much space the place would need or the square footage in that buliding, but it would be better than having that empty building sitting there and it's close to town and in a high traffic area for exposure.......
