i am so tired of new york that i don't care if i see another pizza again for the rest of my life! lol.all kidding aside i have a question for newnhguy. when u moved did you have any children coming with you that had to go to elementary/high school? also how much did it cost to move all your belongings from jersey to nh?
Yes, It cost us about 2 grand to move.
The home we bought came furnished, I mean REALLY furnished, with all new schitt, so we really did not bring alot along.
We moved alot ourselves, you'd be amazed what you can fit in an Outback.
Yes, 1 senior in HS. All the transfer work was done by our NJ school, Emailing transcripts and such. Graduates this June.
so i guess your child adapted well to the new enviroment. i am anxious for my kids having to go to a new school. i did it myself and the experience was horrible for me! and i know everybody says that they are young enough to adapt-6 and 8 years old- it still creates an anxiety inside me. guess i am an overly worried father!
Actually, my Kid wanted to move more than my wife and I did
We all love it here, and would not look back to that Hectic lifestyle. Sure, we miss friends, but they are a phone call away and come to visit often. Then THEY don't want to go back either.
I can't even sit still long enough to enjoy our camp

Every once in a while I think about taking the train to NYC for a visit. Then my Yankee wallet wakes up and reminds me how expensive NYC was when we were living there. That usually cures me of the temptation to visit NYC.
very true. i am getting absolutely crushed here financially in nyc. i am working just to stay afloat and i feel like i am going nowhere fast and getting nothing in return. except a lot of stress indigestion and aggravation.lol! gregw where did you move from/to?

I love Carroll county. It is one of my favorite places in the eastern US and I've been all over the eastern part of the US. My goal is to be there by retirement. Right now my career field has taken me elsewhere, but I will be back for sure!
