I have posted a few NH oddities in the past, but do you have anything in your local area that perhaps the rest of the word ( or even state) is not generally aware of?.. I mean we have a leg buried in Washington NH..does anyone know the long missing location of the rest of the Captain for example

Haven't seen him in a while, but we have a domesticated pet goat here in Dover that is walked on a leash, rides around in owner's vehicle, and can often be seen sitting on the park benches downtown...anyone new to town does a double-take!

Is it a giant composter? A cool ride that you get inside and somebody spins you around? Or a big wooden vat full of aging wine? Inquiring minds want to know!

it looks like an antique paving roller

Bow's 2011 town meeting minutes indicate it's a restored snow roller. It's located on the Old Schoolhouse site.

apparently weather is taking a toll, and the town needed permission to build a roof over the display.

CLOSE! Its a snow roller, apparently it was used back in the day for packing down the snow for horses and sleighs to travel over. ( I had to google the crap out of this thing when i first moved into bow to figure out what the heck this thing was)

the suncook river dam in Pittsfield is petty cool and nice to photograph. (church in background etc). I hear a shot of it was used in the opening shots of Payton Place......

the trail in the epsom town forest takes you to a great cleared mountain top view (about an hour hike) but the town forest is very hard to find - not marked - even few locals know of it.
