Everything state is different and unique. If you find NH boring, then leave and find a state more suitable for you.
I suspect that you like how affordable NH seems to be, but add in all the more exciting amenities that you desire, and then see how expensive NH becomes when all the infrastructure costs kick in. It's just simpler for you to move to Boston or NYC and be done with it.
The other say during the warm up I sat on my porch while my kids played in the melting snow and I just reveled in the boringness. All was peaceful and beautiful and there wasn't a bit of culture to be seen as far as my eyes could see. Please do not change this, New Hampshire. This is what I moved here for. Well, that and my job.
Even the dating scene here is bizarre for him - blames that on NH women. OP, I truly hope you find somewhere that makes you happy, but to pin your misfortune on NH is probably not fair. Especially the dating thing....
Yeah. I suspect that the modern single American woman is just not attracted to his type... his inability to drink alcohol, drinking, his GAD issues, being a complainer... he's going to have the same problems in any city he goes to. Nobody wants to be around a Debbie Downer type. And since he can't drink alcohol because of his GAD issues, then I don't get why he wants NH to have a more exciting nightlife for him.
So, we have 4 hub cities here: Manchester, Nashua, Salem and Concord.
I don't know about you but Why is this state so boring?
Boston is only 50 miles away and absolutely zero of the culture of Boston has manifested here.
Only some strange Bostonish vibe has manifested here and the people who moved here are moving out.
Also, the Heroin crises in Manchester and Nashua and I garner Concord as well, are big time indicators of what is going wrong here in this "At will" employment state, which is also another downside to living here.
How do you see things?
Comments please.....Let see how we can turn this around as individuals by doing our part!
*shrug* I don't find it boring (and I used to live in NYC). I enjoy living here and don't want it to change. If you don't like it, move someplace that is more exciting for you. The state is not going to change to suit you, move to a place that works for what you want and need.
Of course, you are a troll, so I probably shouldn't respond but, whatever.
Stefos1, as a Massachusetts native who moved into New Hampshire a year and a half ago I should be able to sympathize with your complaint... but I can't, because I moved to the Lakes Region for the exact opposite reasons that you are finding fault with.
I got tired of the 24/7 life style that I lived in Massachusetts and when my time came to retire... I picked up and moved my family to NH so that we could return to a more normal way of life.
Based on your boredom with New Hampshire I can only suspect that you are still fairly young and chomping at the bit to do something exciting. Like some of the other forum members have suggested... your only solution may be to move to the North Shore of Massachusetts or even Boston itself. There you will find all of the excitement that you can handle and I suspect that after a short time there you may even begin to complain about the life style, people, and some of the things they do.
In regard to the heroin problem... all I can say is "Hang On!" Because if New Hampshire Public Safety doesn't receive the public support, funding, and the training that it needs to combat the opioid epidemic... this State will be in for a rude awakening after seeing crime increase dramatically and what some people will do to others in order to be obtain this drug.
Personally, I don't want to see all of "the exciting stuff" come to New Hampshire... because along with it will come a life style and problems that many New Hampshire residents do not want to deal with.
I hope you are able to find the life style that you are looking for.
The OP has been posting for five years about how much he hates NH and wants to move to Virginia, Cleveland, San Diego, and Phoenix. It's always easier to complain than to follow through.
I don't know about you but Why is this state so boring?
I'm not bored.

I think people that are bored and disappointed with NH should leave. Why live somewhere you hate? We are only put on this planet for a short amount of time. Live a little.
