Reason: TIP of the DAY, PLEASE SMILE & we will SMILE with YOU!:0)HAVE A GREAT WEEK EVERYONE!:0)PEACE! :0)
If you give me exceptional service, I'll give you an exceptional tip. Lousy service, lousy tip. Simple as that. As far as tip jars? No way. I'm not going to tip some scowling face who screws up my coffee order everytime I go in there. Not going to happen.
Tipping seems to be something that certain generations are used to; they feel they may get an "edge" the next time in. I will get tips from customers sometimes if they feel compelled, like if I run out in the rain and put on their wiper blades. Sometimes it's just because they are being nice. Fine with me. I usually refuse, but they leave it anyway. Nice when it happens, but I never look for it.

yup, I pretty much agree. However it just occurred to me one occasion when I will consider a tip-jar.... bar tenders. If I'm at an event and I have to get my diet coke from the bar, I may occasionally tip the bartender. But that's the only time I'll pay any attention to a tip-jar.
