'Saw'right.. we're all a little crazy it does look pinkish in the photo. You know.. I kept wanting to see my old (first) town and find out how to get from my hometown back to there, so my parents would drive us over now and again when I came to visit. Had to see the old houses and neighborhoods. And after all that... it turns out to be where we'll move to! so, sometimes you can go home again.. even if it's a little different the second time around I'm sure you'll get you're bike ride at some point.
I hope so. We rode around in circles through the neighborhoods and my friend had her jaw dropped at the gorgeous scenery and homes litterally tucked away in the forests.
The best ride ever was Route 111A to Exeter from Brentwood. Wow it is still breathtaking!
I am so glad to be home, just a few hiccups, but soon we'll have what we need to survive, and it will be a blessing because all of you supported us in the ways you did.
I would love to live in one of my old towns, especially Brentwood. But houses are about half a million dollars to over a million out there. Maybe I'll buy a lottery ticket?? LOL
FWIW, I can't wait to see your efficient house, Wanna. My daughter thinks it sounds like the best thing ever!
And Katla, I know what you mean about Exeter. I like the town, but there's just something about it... Was it the Loaf and Ladle that you want to? It's not really Panara-like (well, not last time I was there) and used to have the best soup & sandwiches around. When you go to Portsmouth, you know that you hafta go to The Friendly Toast. Lots of creative food, vegan friendly, fun place with plenty to look at while you're there (decor is somewhat eclectic )
Well, the bike ride part did not happen. We could not get two bikes in my friend's SUV to save our souls. So....
We decided to take a drive through the area, and head into Exeter. Now, the pink brick colonial? It appears that in the afternoon sunlight shining on the brick it does turn pink, but it is actually red!
Either that, or I'm severely color blind. Maybe I just need to lay off drugs, I don't know!
I took pictures of it anyways, because I love the house, to me it will always be pink in the afternoon sun.
My friend thinks I'm crazy, but that's OK.
We didn't get out and stop to take as many pictures as I wanted to because of the traffic. We had a difficult time every time we wanted to pull over. Just wasn't a great day, then it started pouring.
But anyways, it was a wonderful and fun trip, here are some pictures of my two favorite houses.
HI KAT!!
