Medford isn't judenrein, but it's never been more than ~3-5% Jewish. Someone concerned with the relative lack of Jewish population in Moorestown would probably feel out of place in Medford--not that it isn't a nice area or that anti-Jewish sentiment is a problem.
Yeah, you're right. Medford is Protestant town. They just allow some Catholics and Jews to live there. Still a nice area if you're out in the township. There are some horse farms down there. I used to buy eggs from Jennings Farm. Home - The Jennings Farm Sally. I wonder if she's still around.
Yup.. lots of back road out there. I have a friend who lives in Medford Lake. I love that area.
I got lost in there once. There are little one lane roads which look like someone's driveway. The log homes are nice. There are also some old log homes at Pine Lake, which is not far away. That started as a summer resort in the 1920s or '30s. "Rich" Philadelphians wanted someplace to go on the weekend to escape the heat. It wasn't as far as the shore. There are some very Mayberryish neighborhoods down there. At least there used to be. The neighbors would put your trash can away, pick up the package from your porch if they knew you were away, and lend you an egg...as long as they got a piece of cake out of it.
Yes, but again, you need to take rte 70 to get to them.
No, you don't have to drive Rt. 70 most of the time unless you want to. Sometimes it's quicker. Church Rd. parallels Rt. 70, Tuckerton runs through diagonally. You can go over to Rt. 206 on Hawkin Rd. Medford is much longer than it is wide.
