My wife and I are buying new construction in Amherst Meadows in Mickleton (Pulte). Anyone know of any good inspectors in the area, preferably one that has inspected homes in this development before? Also, are there any owners in this development that have tips for a new buyer? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Always check ASHI.org first - the American Society of Home Inspectors. They have a search tool available to find inspectors who service the area.

I settle on my house in December, please let me know if your home inspector found anything significant as I wasn't planning on having it done.

I know someone in Amherst Farms who had it done and they found the most minor items so it wasn't even worth it.

I ended up not using one. Couldn't justify the cost and ended up just relying on bi-weekly "inspections" I did myself.
