I am planning on moving my family out of Philly, where I work, and moving to New Jersey (where I am originally from). We are looking at northern area of Pennsauken, near Crecent cemetary. Tired of the crime and dont want to raise my children in that city. Any ideas?

There's a good bit of crime in Pennsauken too, and it directly borders Camden. Don't go there if you have kids.

Up the Rt. 130 corridor there's Cinnaminson and Delran which are both decent towns with good schools from what I hear. Or you can head out to Mt. Laurel or Evesham on the Rt 73 corridor, but commuting will be more of a bummer.

On the expensive side there's Cherry Hill and Haddonfield, but I don't know your budget. Will you still be working in Philly?

What I don't get is people who live less than an hour's drive from someplace and who ask folks on a forum about the place rather than just spending some time there, checking it out for themselves, talking to lots of locals, etc. Agoraphobia maybe?

No, but thanks for your concern. I have a showing this weekend, actually, and will be driving about the area before that. I happened to post a question here to get any ideas/thoughts that might inform me more.
You act so... old.

I love the cherry hill, marlton, voorhees, mount laurel area. Depending on budget...worth considering.

Thanks for your suggestions
We are indeed changing our housing search towards Cherry Hill and vicinity. I understand the schools in Pennsauken are not the best, and I saw the crime rates are, in many areas, far above the national average (though living in Philadelphia for ten years should worry?? LOL ) As I am doing preliminary checks on locations commutable to philly, our realtor mentioned that Oaklyn is rather close to Camden and parts are undesirteable (I saw some cute houses there). We have young children, nearing school-age, and want a nicer atmosphere like in Cherry Hill; safe, clean with great schools and which is still commutable to Philly. We can afford a place about 175g so we're limited in ways and means; Cherry Hill seems to be a good match.
We're meeting the realtor tonight to get a CMA for our home; the balll is rolling...
