on a more positive note, hard water is better than your water catching on fire out of the faucet!!

Just set up a separator and run the water one way and the gas the other. It's like two utilities in one.

We always had hard water (artesian well water). We were always amazed as kids when we went on vacation to other places and the soap and shampoo lathered up so much.
