Todd, I had DirecTV for 10 years, left them and went to cable. My bills were WAY higher with them than they are with cable. They nickle and dimed me to death with HD charges, DVR charges, etc.
Have they changed that?

I am paying $55 a month for the first year (for 3 Receivers). Next year however I will be paying around $80 after promo ends. I dug up a Comcast bill from about 5 years ago and I was paying $60 for just the "enhanced preferred basic" package and 1 non-hd receiver. Below is my latest bill from DirecTV. My billing has always been accurate and never changed (until I got MLB package).
